In severe cases, arrythmias, syncope, cardiogenic shock may occur. Acute myocarditis most commonly caused by a variety viruses cardiotropic properties. Rare causes include bacterial infections. We, herein, describe case acute intracellular bacterium Francisella tularensis. A young previously healthy male in Northern Sweden was referred emergency department due intense upper-chest pain dyspnea. ECG exhibited minimal ST-segment elevations laboratory parameters revealed pathological levels high-sensitivity cardiac troponin C-reactive protein. Radiological imaging showed increased metabolism enlarged lymph nodes signs that could be compatible left ventricular heart. The combination believed tularensis , endemic Sweden, verified positive serology. patient full recovery after antimicrobial treatment. As this fifth published associated tularensis, we suggest considering tularemia tularemia-endemic area.

Arthropod-transmitted (ticks, fleas and deer flies) tularaemia remains a concern worldwide. Generally, two kinds of tularaemia manifestations, namely ulceroglandular and glandular infections, can arise from the bite of an infected arthropod vector. If the ulceroglandul...
